STUDENTS DELIVER STRONG MESSAGES ABOUT DRINKING, DRUGS & OTHER ISSUES:
Students from the Peer Drug Educators and the Improv Troupe of Royal Crown Players teamed up for a presentation to a freshman assembly on October 27. Students performed a series of scenes in which several kinds of risky behavior were explored related to drinking, drugs, and texting while driving. Each scene depicted a situation leading to various outcomes, showing the results of both risky decisions and safer ones. Students were also presented with statistical and other factual information about the real-life consequences of certain behaviors. The assembly is part of the school's continual efforts to teach responsible decision making and address issues of importance to teenagers.
